Ursinus College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our Athletics Department as a Men's Lacrosse Stipend Coach. This part-time position will work closely with the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach to support the overall development and success of the men's lacrosse program. The stipend coach will contribute to player skill development, game strategy, and fostering a positive and competitive team culture.
Responsibilities:
Player Development:
Assist in planning and executing effective practice sessions focused on individual skill development and team strategy.
Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their lacrosse skills and overall performance.
Work closely with players on position-specific techniques and strategies.
Game Preparation:
Assist in scouting opponents and developing game plans.
Analyze game footage to identify areas for improvement and strategic adjustments.
Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure players are well-prepared for upcoming competitions.
Recruitment Support:
Assist in identifying and recruiting student-athletes who align with the program's values and goals.
Attend recruiting events and communicate effectively with potential recruits and their families.
Team Culture:
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Support the Head Coach in implementing team policies and maintaining a high standard of conduct.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience in men's lacrosse, preferably at the collegiate level.
Knowledge of the rules and strategies of lacrosse.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, student-athletes, and college administrators.
Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Compensation:
This is a stipend position, and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, on-campus housing may be provided as part of the compensation package.
